the steampunk aesthetic..

There'll be a few posts on the steampunk theme as this movement has more than taken the fancy of both myself and 'er indoors. (this is what will happen to the Domobar if it is indeed stuffed..onto the project bench it goes for steampunk fun).

Todays little gem, littledeathray.com... the minx with the carnal curiosities gun and an excercise in branding done well. the full backstory, the period pics and a product for sale. Sexual requirements aside, this is a grand effort and worth a note - the only drawback being the limited range but i expect this will change as the movement grows and competition hots up.

And so it begins...

As we enter a new phase it seems the dice are rolling in our favour...for now.

Today i came home with a vibiemme Domobar Super - free. Ok so it's apparently poked but its heavy and shiny and i love it! I now need to pop it in for  service and find out just why it was retired in the first place - i'm hoping a good tinker will do the trick if the cost comes in too high.. ever optimistic me.

This and the new developments on the location front make for a hopeful time - a good thing after the bleak days pre-zurich.

Not a ground shaking first post admittedly  though I was just saying the other day that the notable thing about disastrous earthquakes is their lack of buildup and pre-cursory warnings. Look around.. see any animals? check your horses, maybe they know something you don't.
